Every year, the majority of our Year 11s choose to stay at the Bridge.

Key Stage 4 leavers - information from Prospects

2018 Year 11 leavers:

  • 99% to sustained destinations
  • 99% to education destinations
  • 61% to sixth forms including Bridge
  • 31% to Further Education colleges
  • 7% to sixth form colleges
  • 1% to apprenticeships 

​Key Stage 5 Leavers

In 2018:

2018 was the largest Year 13 cohort with 105 leavers

  • 84% accepted university places
  • Of the 85 students who accepted places at university, 73% are first in their families to go to university. 
  • Three students went to Cambridge to study Medicine (Helen), Mathematics (Edmund) and Engineering (Brandon)
  • Three students were offered places at US universities - Dolapo - full academic scholarship, Zenience full sports scholarship for tennis, and Esther for a track programme
  • 40% of Bridge students accepted places at top third universities and 20% at prestigious Russell Group universities - significantly above national averages
  • Popular degree choices were Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, Medical and Science subjects, Law, Criminology, Digital Media, Film, English, History, Geography and Psychology
  • 9% accepted apprenticeships including two in UBS Wealth Management.  Two other former Bridge students work at UBS, one on the graduate trainee programme, the other joined as a school leaver and has been promoted three times
